Zero import duty, and the paperwork that proves it
Brexit did not change the duty treatment of Moroccan industrial goods entering the UK. The UK–Morocco Association Agreement, signed in October 2019 and in force since 1 January 2021, carries over the arrangement that applied while the UK was in the EU.
EUR.1 certificate
Proof of Moroccan origin, issued by Moroccan customs and supplied with the shipping documents. Without it your broker cannot claim the preferential rate, so we issue it as a matter of course rather than on request.
Tariff heading
Swivel office chairs with height adjustment are classified under heading 9401.30. Your broker will use this to clear the goods; we state it on the commercial invoice.

Three ways UK buyers work with us
Importers and wholesalers
You buy by the container and resell to dealers or end users. Minimum order is 100 units on the Challenger and 20 on the Exclusive, EXW or FOB Casablanca, with export documentation prepared for every shipment.
Office furniture dealers
You need a second source alongside your existing supply, with shorter lead times than the Far East and the option of your own branding on the product. Private labelling is available.
Corporate and facilities buyers
You equip offices, call centres or several sites at once and buy direct rather than through a dealer. BIFMA and EN 1335 certification covers procurement requirements, and a single container covers a full floor.

Distance
Casablanca sits on the Atlantic, a few days from UK ports rather than several weeks from East Asia. A shorter line means a smaller safety stock, faster replenishment and less working capital tied up at sea.
Certification
BIFMA 2011 and EN 1335-1-2-3:2016. UK specifiers and public buyers continue to reference EN 1335 for office seating, and the certificates are supplied with the quotation rather than after the order.

Do UK importers pay customs duty on office chairs from Morocco?
No, provided the goods are accompanied by a EUR.1 movement certificate. The UK–Morocco Association Agreement, signed in 2019 and in force since 1 January 2021, carries over the duty-free treatment of industrial goods that applied before Brexit. We issue the EUR.1 with every shipment.
What is the minimum order quantity?
100 units for the Challenger operative chair and 20 units for the Exclusive executive chair. Mixed orders are possible — ask us for the exact container plan on your combination.
How many chairs fit in one container?
A 40ft High Cube holds 360 Challenger or 200 Exclusive chairs, shipped disassembled. A 20ft holds 150 or 80 respectively. Full loading figures, production lead times and Incoterms are set out on our container loading page.
Are the chairs certified for UK corporate and public procurement?
Yes. Our chairs are certified to BIFMA 2011 and EN 1335-1-2-3:2016, the European office seating standard that UK specifiers continue to reference. Certificates are supplied with the quotation, not after the order.
How long does delivery to the UK take?
A first order of 100 Challenger chairs is produced in 15 days, and 100 Exclusive chairs in 30 days, counted from order confirmation. Reorders are faster, the setup being done. Sea freight from Casablanca follows. We confirm the transit time for your chosen port in the quotation rather than quoting a figure that would not hold for every routing.
Can we order a sample before committing to a container?
Yes, and we recommend it. A sample lets you check build quality, upholstery and assembly before placing a first order. Ask your contact to arrange one.
